International Association of Microsoft Certified
Professionals Invites Elisabeth Vanderveldt to join the Canadian
chapter
Joins ranks at IAMCP with a directorship position
Montreal, Quebec – November 29 – Conamex
International announced today that it’s Vice President Business
Development, Elisabeth Vanderveldt, has been invited to join the
IAMCP, Canadian Chapter, with a directorship position. Elisabeth
received the invitation from John Payes, president of the Canadian
Chapter.
IAMCP was formed in 1994 to provide Partners a
greater voice into Microsoft and to facilitate mutual growth and
business development. Members and chapters are worldwide. Chapters
are organized and led by member volunteers in cities around the
world. Chapter membership fosters personal relationships that
lead to mutual business opportunities. The large number of member
companies provides a rich array of non-competing service providers
with whom partners can offer an expanded portfolio to clients.
The Microsoft Certified Partner program includes
more than 15,000 member groups worldwide. As technology has become
increasingly complex and specialized, most of these partners have
chosen to specialize in specific Microsoft Technologies. Because
of this, Microsoft Certified Partners often cannot fill all of
the technology needs of their customers.
To solve this challenge, the IAMCP brings together
Microsoft Certified Partners in a forum where they can learn more
about each other’s companies and capabilities. This enables
partners to develop alliances and form virtual corporations, expanding
their capabilities and making them more valuable in the marketplace.
This appointment will allow Elisabeth to pursue
issues that address partners across the country as well as the
opportunity to increase the participation of other female led
IT firms at Microsoft events. “I rarely attend a training
or product launch that I seem to be the only female in the audience.
There is a large contingent of female IT professionals in Canada
that can benefit from Microsoft’s rewarding array of seminars
and training programs that they don’t seem to be taking
advantage of. I hope to make them more aware that their presence
is welcome and to discover what issues might be preventing them
from attending these events” said Elisabeth. “As Microsoft
is amazingly successful at advancing women in IT from within,
IAMCP has the opportunity to do so from within their own ranks.
In addition IAMCP is doing philanthropic work in different regions world
wide. I hope to unify the efforts of each IAMCP chapter so that
we can involve even more member firms in fundraising efforts and
give us the opportunity to communicate and interact with other
chapters on a regular basis”.
