History

Mr. L'Esperance has been involved in all facets of the technology industry, from consulting and training to customized software development and marketing of software worldwide via a 3000 plus reseller network in conjunction with Computer Associates and ACCPAC.

Originally based in Montreal, where he studied computer programming and analysis, he formed L'Esperance and Associates Inc. designing and implementing customized software solutions for businesses in the early 80's on Commodore, Hewlett Packard and various other computers. He developed what could be claimed as the first totally bilingual and fully integrated accounting package that was marketed and installed across Canada on Commodore computers.

In 1984, and at the age of 23, he was approached by Commodore Computers with an offer to buy out his firm and move him to Toronto to become their National Software Manager, in charge of internal and external software development, acquisition and marketing of software products for all of Canada. He also sat as a member on the Canadian Anti-Piracy Organization during this time, an inititive started by Commodore, with his assistance.

In mid-1985, he returned to his own companies (adding Conamex International) and dedicated himself to installing leading edge full microcomputer solutions on stand-alone and/or networking systems for small and medium sized businesses and professionals.

Mr. L'Esperance performed a six month stint with the Canadian Institute of Charted Accountants in 1988, on the development and marketing of a specialized software product for consolidating data from a varied set of platforms, software systems and data encoding formats.

Mr. L'Esperance's combined computer expertise and knowledge of the key ingredients to operating a cost effective and efficient business has lended itself to his ultimate goal; ensuring his clients final solution (software, hardware, security, servers) allows for a more successful and profitable business, provided in a transparent manner.

During the 90's, his clients and firms he dealt with started referring to Mr. L'Esperance as Dr. Accpac due to his reputation and recognition for rapid and precise data repairs across North America, not just from a database integrity point of view, but also from his ability to balance off data corruptions from a business financial point, including reconstructing and balancing off lost data. He was also involved on a regular basis in helping these firms troubleshoot overall network failures, performance issues and database configurations, including fine tuning, to maximize performance in multiuser environments.

Mr. L'Esperance's vast business and technology expertise in relation to all aspects of the software industry comes from the benefits of years of working with customers on customizing solutions, developing full software products and marketing them through a worldwide reseller network. He then turned to the flip side: negotiating the purchase of software and technology in view of installing and using, or in view of incorporating into bigger solutions to then market, implement and support.
